Interactive Science Experience

Science Education Institution · Interactive Exhibition and Visitor Experience
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania · Completed 2026

Development of a new immersive visitor experience exploring speed, motion, engineering, and performance. The project included a multilevel, all-electric kart track, advanced driving simulators, interactive exhibits, and a new restaurant and bar.

As Director of Construction and Project Management, I led the project on behalf of the institution throughout design and construction. I coordinated architects, exhibit designers, consultants, contractors, specialty vendors, and operations teams to deliver an unusually complex project within a highly compressed schedule. The work required close integration of architecture, exhibit design, specialized karting and simulation systems, food-service operations, visitor safety, and opening readiness.

The completed project created a distinctive visitor experience combining science education, physical activity, simulation, entertainment, and hospitality. It expanded the institution’s public offerings while successfully integrating multiple specialized systems and operational requirements within a demanding delivery timeline.
